Technology College Sarawak
Malaysia Day Celebration

trp

8th Sept – In conjunction with Malaysia Day, Technology College Sarawak (TCS) organized a Best Traditional Costume Competition, as well as a Best Traditional Dance Competition. The competitions were open to all students and staff who were interested in displaying their culture. This annual event was once again organized by the Student Affairs Department and spearheaded by Madam Victoria Nyeng with her committee members. Malaysia Day was hosted by student Shafizan Suhaili, who was also the Grand Winner of the TCS Toastmasters Competition in 2014.

A total of 8 students took part in the Best Traditional Costume Competition, while 3 groups competed in the Best Traditional Dance Competition. Madam Fiviana, Mr Amin Aznizan, Mr Nelson, Miss Eda, and Mr Herbson were the judges for both competitions.

The Grand Winner for the Best Traditional Costume Competition was Eseel Kimiko Anyie, whereas the Best Traditional Dance Competition was won by Sri Adimastari.

This event gave students and staff alike the opportunity to display talents that they might have kept hidden all this while, especially in fashion, dance, and choreography. But more importantly, however, Malaysia Day aims to inculcate the spirit of patriotism amongst the students and staff of TCS.
